German Chocolate Frosting
This is a traditional, scratch-made frosting. It comes out of the mixing bowl a bit loose, but sets up in the refrigerator overnight.
Italian Cream Frosting
This cream cheese frosting is less sweet than a buttercream and can be used for any number of cakes, but it does go exceptionally well with the Duchess Spice Cake (recipe on this page).
